Short Biography

حاليًا، يتولى الأستاذ عبد العاطي مواقع قيادية، حيث يعمل كمدير لمركز العلاقات الدولية في جامعة سوهاج في مصر، ونائب رئيس اتحاد الرياضيات الأفريقي. كما شغل مناصب قيادية سابقة، بما في ذلك نائب رئيس الأكاديمية الأفريقية للعلوم وعميد البحث والدراسات العليا في جامعة العلوم التطبيقية وجامعة الأهلية في مملكة البحرين. أكمل درجة الدكتوراه في تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات في معهد ماكس بلانك للبصريات الكمومية في ألمانيا عام 1999. قام بأبحاث ما بعد الدكتوراه في علوم المعلومات في جامعة فلنسبورغ في ألمانيا من عام 2001 إلى عام 2003. كما قدم مساهمات كبيرة لمجموعة المعلومات الكمومية في مصر، مركزًا على مجالات مثل القياس الكمومي، نمذجة النانوميكانيكا، الضوء غير الكلاسيكي بشكل كبير، أمان المعلومات العملي، وتنفيذات بصرية لمهام المعلومات الكمومية. إن إنجازاته الاستثنائية والعديد من الجوائز والمشاركات التحريرية تسلط الضوء على تأثيره واعترافه الكبير داخل المجتمع العلمي.

He has published numerous pioneering and highly original research papers in his field of specialization, which have evolved to keep pace with global advancements. His scholarly output covers various topics in information technology, quantum informatics and the development of computers into quantum computers (not visible to the naked eye – microscopic) using the principles of quantum mechanics instead of traditional methods. His research has focused on secure information transmission, preventing any intermediary eavesdropping on transmitted information across networks, quantum encryption, building quantum information units, constructing quantum computers, studying new models of material interaction with laser fields or nanomechanical flexors, and proposing new models describing the interaction of quantum points or superconductive materials with electromagnetic fields.

Furthermore, his research has delved into topics related to quantum optics and other peripheral areas, whether nonlinear optics or quantum light. He has focused on understanding the movements of extremely small photons and developing information algorithms for them in the form of wave functions. These developments have led to applications in microscopic photonics, quantum chromatography, and quantum encryption.

His research focuses on developing advanced models and algorithms for secure information and communication systems. His work has directly contributed to enhancing cybersecurity and data protection, which are vital for socio-economic development in the digital age. Among the new results achieved:

  • Introducing a new measure of information entropy in three-level energy models and generalizing it to measure multiple-level energy models.
  • Introducing new mathematical processors that have enabled us to obtain a greater amount of information for known atomic models.
  • Proposing measures that have helped prevent any intermediary eavesdropping on quantum information transmitted across networks.
  • Introducing new processors for certain quantum phenomena in solid-state materials and superconductive materials.
  • Achieving both the phenomena of fading and continuity in singular models.
  • Obtaining distinctive information units from solid-state materials and high-speed materials.
  • Introducing a new concept of quantum control in dynamic interaction through phase angles.

In addition to his scientific excellence:

  • Initiating the idea of establishing the Arab Impact Labs project, which greatly boosted Arab intellectual production.
  • Founding many international scientific journals.
  • Being elected to numerous prestigious academies of sciences and international scientific institutions.
  • Due to his scientific standing and the pioneering nature of his research, his papers have been cited more than 1300 times and he has an h-index of 17. He has been listed among the leaders of the Islamic world and a group of top scientists in science and engineering, ranking fourth in mathematics globally within the Islamic world.
  • He has received numerous awards, including the State Award for Excellence in Basic Sciences and, most recently, the Abdul Hameed Shoman Award for Arab Researchers from Jordan.
  • Establishing a significant Egyptian scientific school that has expanded to include most universities in Egypt. Many of its members have held leadership positions in Egyptian universities and have received state awards. His scientific school has extended beyond national borders and has made a clear mark at the international level, engaging in important branches of physical sciences in high-level global competition.
  • Collaborating with colleagues on two books on modern topics covering scientific school research. These books were published by an international scientific publisher in the United States and another in Germany, along with five chapters in books published by a publisher in America.
  • Actively contributing to the establishment of the Mathematics Department at the Zewail City for Science and Technology and participating in the preparation and development of its internal regulations.
  • Participating in the evaluation and development of new programs in science faculties and, from his position in the National Committee of the International Mathematical Union, contributing to raising Egypt’s rank to the highest level in the Union’s ranking. He has also contributed to organizing conferences and enhancing scientific research in mathematics and has contributed to presenting the future vision of scientific research.
  • Actively contributing to correcting societal perceptions of mathematics and correcting the status of mathematics courses in secondary education and the status of mathematics students seeking admission to science and education colleges for both genders.
  • Through his presence with his colleagues in the Egyptian Mathematical Society, a decision was made to select the Egyptian Mathematical Society Journal to be published by an international publishing house.
 

Part from the work has been awarded some prizes such as 

2023 : Qin-Jiu-Shao Prize, for his innovative proposal of a new fractional derivative operator. This novel operator incorporates the Rabotnov fractional-exponential function into its non-singular kernel, resulting in what is now known as the Yang-Abdel-Aty-Carlo fractional derivative operator.
